Mentoring Opportunities for Women in Sport

E-mentoring through on-line mentoring activities for mentees is available for those restricted by location to attend face-to-face meetings.  Translation support is also available for women with hearing impairments or language difficulties.

Organisations including Bowls Australia, Deaf Sports Australia, Gymnastics Australia, Special Olympics, National Rugby League, Netball Australia, Swimming Australia and Yachting Victoria enrolled women last year.

Over the past three years, the Australian Sports Commission has supported AWRA to provide opportunities for over 100 women to form mentoring relationships with senior sports leaders.

The Australian Women’s Sport and Recreation Association (AWRA) is delivering a Mentoring Program to encourage the participation of women in the workforce, assisting them in taking the next step in their careers.
