The 23-year-old has signed a new contract with the club she joined after leaving Sunderland Ladies in 2010.
Nobbs has scored 21 goals in 53 league games for Arsenal, and has helped them to two league titles, three FA Women’s Cups and four Continental Cups during her time with the club.
“As a kid it was always a dream to play for Arsenal and to now sign a bigger deal and a longer deal is just incredible,” Nobbs said. “It’s where I want to be and where I am happy as well.
“I think as a player you have to like the manager and like the philosophy and that is the main reason why I signed.
“I think the way I play personally fits into Pedro’s system. I really focus on what he says and what he does and I think as a player you want to believe in your manager. That is one thing I definitely do.
“Last season was a hard one for me with injuries so this one is going to be a big one for me.
“I’ve worked really hard over Christmas to make sure I am ready. I feel good and I feel strong so I hope I can be a massive part of the team and play a massive part for England as well.”
Nobbs is England’s vice-captain, and played a key role in the Lionesses’ third-place finish at the World Cup in Canada last summer. She is expected to line up in midfield for her club alongside England’s most capped player Fara Williams, who joined the Gunners from Liverpool last month. […]
