England Women took a 2-1 series lead over the West Indies with a comprehensive 112-run win in Friday’s third one-day international in Jamaica.
Lauren Winfield scored 79 and Nat Sciver weighed in with 58 as Heather Knight’s side scored 220, a target the home side never looked like challenging after losing regular wickets early in their reply.
That had also been a problem for England, with Tammy Beaumont (4) and Georgia Elwiss (3) falling cheaply as the tourists slipped to 24-2 at Sabina Park.
But Knight added 48 in partnership with opener Winfield and the day’s key stand followed when Sciver came to the crease to join the Yorkshire star.
They had added 95 in 18 overs when Winfield’s superb innings came to a close on 79 as she became the second victim for West Indies star Deandra Dottin (2-45).[…]
